At Mighty Joe we are all about, well, Mighty Joe! What we're not about (never will be about) is "Ordinary Joe" or "Average Joe." Even "Good," and "darn good Joe" won't satisfy the taste we strive for in the coffee we serve. Only phenomenal coffees will earn the label "Mighty Joe." What makes our coffee so exceptional? In a word; "Intelligentsia." 

Intelligentsia Coffee and Tea is one of the top two coffee companies in the world. Personally we put them at number one because of their incredible "Black Cat" espresso blend. At Mighty Joe we started on day one by putting quality in the cup. We did this believing our customers want and deserve only the best coffee the world has to offer. 

A little secret: 

Many coffee shops, chains and independents, buy coffee at cheap prices from roasters that aren't very skilled in the fine art of roasting coffee. Their roasters may buy their beans on the open world market not knowing exactly what they are getting. These coffee shops may believe their coffee is great simply because they want to believe it. At Mighty Joe we know our coffee is the best because our roaster is the best. 

About Intelligentsia:

Intelligentsia is one of the top coffee companies in the world largely due to their coffee buyer, a man named Geoff Watts. Geoff travels the world and goes to regions where coffee is known to grow in pristine climatic conditions. He visits coffee farms and knows the farmers, their families and workers personally. He has developed relationships with farmers who have agreed to adhere to strict growing, picking, sorting and processing standards. These farmers are extremely hard working people who take pride in their crop. In return, Intelligentsia compensates the farmers by paying more for their beans and helping them in a variety of ways.
